This Saturday, July 19, I’ll be playing in front of Cotton Cloud and Natural Bedding on NE 7th and Broadway, under their large awning. I’ll be there from 11a-1p. This is all part of the NE Broadway Summer Super Sale.
Just booked Friday Aug. 8, at Cellar 55, from 6:30-8:30pm. Located 1812 Washington St. Vancouver, WA 98660. I’ll be playing classics from Elton John, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Elvis Presley and others.
I’ve been rehearsing with a local classic rock and R&B band the past couple of weeks, seeing if I would fit into their musical scheme and I have been asked to join them for their next couple of gigs.
It’s already a loaded band with two guitarists, bass, drums, horn section, harmonica player and keyboards and a killer lead woman vocalist.
But what makes this so great, its just so much fun. First gig is July 12 for one of our guitarist’s daughter’s wedding.

Great crowd, nice evening with the garage door open letting in all the summer warmth into the restaurant. Folks seemed to enjoy some the classic oldies I did with my own twist to them along with some of my originals. Really connected with those listening. Great vibe in that place. Hope to come back again, soon.
This Saturday evening, June 7, from 7-10pm I’ll be performing at Torta-Landia in SE Portland. This will be my second time around with them. Quaint little casual Mexican place and a wonderful intimate atmosphere to perform. My set will include originals, my own take on some cover tunes and instrumentals. I hope to see you there. Reginald Kenneth Dwight was his birth name. He is now known at Sir Elton Hercules John, and we’ll be paying tribute to his music this Wednesday evening at the Jade Lounge beginning at 7pm.
Come enjoy the intimacy of the Jade along with some special guests who will be pounding out their own renditions of Elton’s music.

Beautiful afternoon to record music “live” from my driveway. Playing two keyboards simultaneously can prove to be somewhat of a challenge depending on the material. Thankfully, this original tune moves at such a pace where I can handle it. Enjoy the simple “live” presentation of, “Sabbath.”
Wrote this song last year after dropping off my daughter at college. I had an interesting exchange with young teenage worker at Taco Bell. The song is called, “Precious.”

Was given the chance to audition a song based on drinking clean and refreshing water. And this is what I came up with, “I Love My H-2-0.”
Wednesday evening at the Jade Lounge in SE Portland was a complete success. Here is a picture of the band: Left to right: Doug McCleary, Cynthia O’Brien, moi and John Hasenjaeger. We were given the band name, “Legion of Ambiguity.” We kinda like it.
The plan is to return next month on March 26. I’ll keep you posted.
